Archer Court Apartments are located just south of the University of Florida campus, and they’re great for both students and staff. They feature studios, one-bedroom, and two bedroom apartments with plenty of square footage and amenities. The two-bedroom floorplans are perfect for roommates, and the studios and one-bedrooms are comfortable for living alone. Apartment amenities include extra storage, eat-in kitchens, and private patios, while the community offers a single-story layout so residents don’t have to worry about noisy upstairs neighbors.
The best part of living at Archer Court is the great location. Archer Road runs alongside the southern side of the University of Florida campus, and the complex is also just a few blocks from SW 34th Street, another main road. Whether you plan to walk, ride a bicycle, drive a car, or take the bus, it’s easy to get anywhere you need to be when you live here.
If you have classes on the south side of campus, near the College of Pharmacy or the College of Medicine, you can walk east along Archer Road and cross either at Gale Lederman Drive or Center Drive. The walk is about 30 minutes to that part of campus. There are shuttles around campus so you can walk to campus and enjoy easy access to further points.
If you drive, simply drive east along Archer Road and park at one of the several parking areas on the south side. Driving or riding a bike takes only about 10 minutes. For classes and other destinations on the north side of campus, around Tigert Hall or Matherly Hall, drive east on Archer Road, then turn north onto SW 13th Street. It’s an easy commute, and you can reach that section of campus in less than 10 minutes by car and 15 minutes by bicycle.
Utilizing public transportation is easy and convenient, as there is a stop for the #1 bus route at Archer Court. The bus route comes by frequently, and it runs both through and along the edges of campus, so if you choose to take the bus, this is a great place to live.
Other amenities are conveniently located, too. For convenient shopping and dining, the Butler Plaza and Butler Enterprises are less than five minutes by car or 15 minutes by bicycle. There’s a Target, Publix grocery, and plenty of dining options, in addition to a large movie theater. For more shopping and dining, The Oaks Mall is lovely, and it’s easy to get to using 62nd Street. No matter the destination, with convenient access to several main Gainesville roads, Archer Court is great for students.
