About Point West Apartments

For students or faculty at the University of Florida who are searching for the perfect blend of amenities, space, and location, Point West Apartments may be what you need! This community of mainly graduate students and professionals is quiet and well-maintained. Featuring one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with large floorplans and plenty of storage, these units are good for singles, roommates, or small families. With a fitness center, lovely pool, and picnic pavilion, Point West is a great place to call home.

In addition to the apartments themselves and the awesome community, the location can’t be beaten. Situated right on SW 34th Street, students and faculty can easily drive or bike to nearly any location on campus within 10 minutes! The complex is also located right on the #34 bus route, which takes students directly through campus, all the way to The Hub, making this a convenient, affordable option.

If you choose to drive or bike to your classes, there are several quick routes you can take no matter which part of the large campus you are headed to. The easiest path is to turn right to go south on SW 23rd Street, and then make a left to go east on Stadium Road. This road continues through campus, so even if you are going to the College of Engineering or Tigert Hall, this is a direct path.

Several streets cross Stadium Road, so if your destination is on the south side of campus, you can go south on Gale Lemerand Drive, Center Drive, or Newell Drive. These roads will take you to the College of Nursing, College of Dentistry, and Shands Hospital. You can go north on Buckman Drive, Newell Drive, or Fletcher Drive to reach classes near Library West or Sledd Hall.

Point West is also close to all the amenities, attractions, and entertainment you need when you aren’t hitting the books or sitting in class. There are dozens of great hang-out spots on and near campus, including The Swamp and Pascal’s Coffeehouse. Butler Plaza is home to numerous shopping and dining options, including Target, Trader Joe’s, and Old Navy, plus there is a large movie theater. It’s near the junction of SW 34th Street and Archer Road, so it’s only a five-minute drive to great shopping. A Publix Grocery is only four blocks north of Point West on SW 34th Street, making it easy to grab necessities or snacks on your way home from class.
