Transportation
The Paddock Club is approximately five miles northwest of the University of Florida’s Gainesville campus. You can drive to the UF Commuter Lot toward the center of campus in approximately 20 minutes without traffic if you take Newberry Road to the Mark Bostick Golf Course, which sits on the northwestern corner of campus. Pass the golf course and turn right on Village Drive, and then make a left on Museum Road. This road will take you to Gale Lemerand Drive, which is the location for the commuter lot.
Most residents don’t walk or bike to campus from this apartment complex because it can take up to two hours to reach the center of campus on foot or up to 40 minutes on a bike. You do have the option of using the public RTS busing system if you don’t have a personal vehicle. Expect the bus ride to take about one hour each way, and you may need additional time to walk across campus to your final destination.
The closest bus stop is on Fort Clarke Boulevard in front of the apartment complex. You can board the route 23 bus from this stop, but you have to transfer to route 10, 43 or 5 to reach campus. Route 23 will take you directly to Santa Fe College in about 15 minutes, and you can transfer to a route 10 bus at the college to reach the UF campus after an additional 30-minute ride.
Though you may need to make multiple transfers at times, you can reach most destinations in all areas of Gainesville by riding the bus. The Paddock Club also places you within walking and biking distance of many retail stores and restaurants.
