About Reflections

Transportation

The Reflections apartment complex is located less than five miles west of the University of Florida’s Gainesville campus. You can reach the western edge of campus in approximately 15 minutes or less without traffic. The most direct route is to take Tower Road to SW 24 Avenue, and then take SW 20th Avenue to SW 34th Street. This road runs along the western border of campus, and you can find a parking lot near Fifield Hall. From there, you can walk to most areas of campus in under 30 minutes.

While this apartment complex is too far for most students and faculty members to consider walking or biking to campus, you can rely on the public busing system. The trip to campus takes about one hour without delays, and there are several routes that will get you there. If you don’t want to connect with a second bus, you can walk about a half hour to the bus stop at The Oaks Mall. Board a route 5 bus headed to the Downtown Station, and get off at the stop by Leonardo’s Pizza by the Slice on the northeastern corner of campus. This places you near Matherly Hall and the Plaza of the Americas.

The closest bus stop is right in front of the apartment complex and is connected to bus route 75. You can take this bus to The Oaks Mall stop and then continue on to campus if you don’t want to walk the first leg of the trip. Boarding a route 20 bus at the mall will take you to Rawlings Hall, which is located near the University Gardens and many of the green spaces surrounding Lake Alice. This is also toward the center of campus, so you’re a short walk from most university buildings.

There are no direct bus routes leading right to campus, but the stop at the mall will allow you to connect with many buses headed to a variety of locations throughout Gainesville. You will need to make multiple transfers to reach some areas of the city, so this apartment complex is more convenient for those with private transportation.
