Transportation
The Park Lane Apartments are located approximately five miles from the southwestern corner of the University of Florida campus. This area of campus is home to the UF Hotel & Conference Center, the Harn Museum of Art, the Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Institute and the Southwest Recreational Facilities. You can take Florida Route 24 to the corner of campus. From there, either turn north on SW 34th Street or continue straight to go along the southern edge of campus near the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center.
You can reach the parking garage in the southwestern corner of campus in less than 20 minutes without traffic, and you may need more time to travel to points of campus further north or east. If you don’t have private transportation, the public bus is your best option to reach campus and other areas of Gainesville. It may take more than 30 minutes to bike to the southwestern corner of campus, and walking can take nearly two hours with additional time needed to reach northern and eastern UF facilities.
Since there is no direct bus route from the Park Lane Apartments to campus, you can expect the trip to the center of campus to take two bus transfers and approximately one hour. It starts by walking approximately five minutes to the bus stop at Tower Square on SW 75th Street. Take the route 75 bus to the Butler Plaza Transfer Station, and then board a route 125 bus headed toward Reitz Union. You can get off at Turlington Hall, which places on the northeastern corner of campus by the Music Building, the Science Library and the dining options at Turlington Plaza.
You can also take a route 12 bus from the Butler Plaza Transfer Station. Get off at Rawlings Hall, which places you near the School of Construction, the Broward Outdoor Recreational Complex and the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences. The Butler Plaza station will also connect you to buses headed to all areas of Gainesville.

From wings and pizza to authentic Mexican or Chinese cuisine, you’ll find many dining options within a half mile of Park Lane. Many of these restaurants offer delivery services, but they’re also within walking or biking distance. These apartments are also convenient to Kanapaha Middle School and Wiles Elementary School.
