Featuring cozy one-bedroom apartments and spacious two-bedroom apartments and townhouses, Holly Heights Apartments has plenty of great amenities for students and staff at the University of Florida. Each apartment features high-speed internet access, a dishwasher, and a balcony or patio, while some floor plans offer laundry hookups. The community is pet-friendly and has 24-hour laundry facilities available.
Holly Heights is located near Interstate 75 and the Oaks Mall, and it’s only about seven miles to the Reitz Student Union, which is near the center of the University of Florida campus. While it’s too far to walk or ride a bicycle, it’s an easy drive. To access destinations on the northeast side of campus, near the College of Engineering, College of Journalism, and College of Business buildings, the easiest route is to drive north on 75th Street and then turn right to go east on Newberry Road, around The Oaks Mall. Newberry Road forks into University Avenue and SW 2nd Avenue right before campus. University Avenue borders the north side of campus and has several side streets branching off of it that go through campus, including Buckman Drive and Newell Drive.
For students and staff going to the south side of campus, near the College of Nursing or the College of Dentistry, driving from University Avenue and driving through campus along Newell Drive is easy, too. However, some may find taking Interstate 75 south to the Archer Road exit to be easier, as SW Archer Road borders the south side of campus. From SW Archer Road, Gale Lemerand Drive, Center Drive, and Newell Drive all go through campus.
For commuters who don’t want to worry about parking, the Park and Ride 2 is a great option where students and staff can park and then take a campus bus to get across campus easily. It’s also only a 20-minute bike ride, making this a good option for commuters without a car. It’s located on Hull Road, just off of SW 34th Street on the west side of campus. Holly Heights is also right on the #75 bus route, which runs from The Oaks to Butler Transfer Station, where residents can connect to several different bus routes, including the #1 route which goes from Butler Transfer Station through campus to the Rosa Parks downtown station.
Holly Heights is conveniently located to Butler Plaza and The Oaks Mall, two popular shopping and dining destinations. The Oaks Mall is just up the road on 75th Street and Newberry Avenue, and not only are there plenty of restaurants and stores in the mall, but the area around it features additional shopping and dining options. Butler Plaza is located right off Interstate 75 at the Archer Road exit and features a Best Buy, Old Navy, Target, and Trader Joes, along with a movie theater, dining, and more shops.
