Both graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Florida will love the convenient location and amenities of the apartments at Concordia Condos. The units are spacious and pleasant, with a layout that is perfect for roommates to share. With a fully-equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer in-unit, residents can enjoy a convenient, comfortable place to call home.
The location of Concordia Condos is a huge draw for both students and staff. Located less than three miles from University of Florida’s Reitz Student Union, it is easy to ride a bike, drive, or take the bus to your campus destination. These apartments are located on NW 39th Street, which is less than a block from Newberry Road. W. Newberry Road splits SW 2nd Avenue and W. University Avenue when it crosses 34th Street, and W. University Avenue borders campus along the north, while SW 2nd Avenue goes through campus, so it really is easy to get there.
For students with classes on the northeast part of campus, around Library West, the College of Business, or Tigert Hall, the easiest way to reach that area by car or bike is to turn left onto W. Newberry Road, stay on W. University Avenue, and park in one of the locations near NW 13th Street. It’s only about 10 minutes by car and 15 minutes via a bicycle.
If your campus destination is farther south, around the College of Dentistry or the College of Pharmacy, it’s a slightly longer commute, but still not difficult. From Newberry Road, turn right to go south on SW 34th Street, and make a left onto Hull Road to go through campus. That section of campus is only about 15 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bicycle.
For students or staff who want to use the bus system, there is a stop just outside of the complex that serves the #5 and the #43 routes. The #5 route goes from the Oaks Mall and goes along W. University Avenue to the Rosa Parks Downtown Station, while the #43 route goes from Santa Fe to Shands Hospital. Both routes are great for students, and also make going to the grocery store or shopping convenient.
Not only are residents close to the University of Florida Campus, but amenities and necessities are close by. Walk less than five minutes to several dining options, Coldstone Creamery, and a large movie theater. The Oaks Mall is only two miles west on Newberry Road, and there are several grocery stores, including a Publix Grocery Store off of University near campus.
