Transportation
Because of its close proximity to the University of Florida campus, College Manor provides a wealth of transportation options for students. First and foremost of these is walking to the campus. From the complex many areas of the campus are literally steps away. Depending on the area students need to reach, walking can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes. It is also possible to bike to campus on most days thanks to the warm climate.
There are a number of bus routes which service this complex. These are operated by the Gainesville Regional Transit System. Routes 1, 8, 13, 16, 17, 29, 34, and 43 all have stops in the vicinity of the complex. It is most likely that residents will choose either Route 5 or 8. These buses run continuously Monday-Friday every 10-30 minutes.
Those who wish to commute with their own vehicle can be on campus in as little as five minutes depending on the volume of traffic. There are multiple commuter parking lots on school grounds which are also serviced by the Regional Transit System. Those who plan on living in this complex should be aware that parking in the Midtown area of Gainesville is always at a premium and many times requires paid permits.
