There’s a Publix Supermarket is just four blocks north on University Avenue and NW 13th Street, so getting groceries and necessities is quick and convenient. There are several pubs, bars, and restaurants along University Avenue that are great for hanging out with friends without going too far from home.
For shopping and other dining options, Butler Plaza has great casual dining, a movie theater, and several shopping options, including Target. It’s at the intersection of SW 34th Street and Archer Road, about 15 minutes by car. The Oaks Mall is another popular destination for shopping and dining. Located at W Newberry Road and NW 62nd Street, it’s only a 20-minute drive.
The transit system is a great option to reach shopping and dining destinations for students that don’t have a car. The #1 route stops just steps away from Camden Court, and it goes all through campus and stops at Butler Plaza. The #5 route has a stop just a few minutes away on University Avenue, and it goes all the way out to The Oaks Mall with plenty of stops at popular destinations along the way.
