Transportation
The Plaza Royale apartment complex is located less than two miles northwest of the University of Florida’s Gainesville campus. If you have a personal vehicle, you can reach the northwestern corner of campus in under five minutes. You can drive to multiple parking lots in well under 10 minutes, allowing you to reach all areas of campus quickly. The fastest route is to take SW 2nd Avenue to SW 34th Street. You can then turn onto University Avenue, which runs along the northern edge of campus. Turn south on any road to head to your final campus destination.
If you don’t want to drive, you can walk to the northwestern corner of campus in approximately 20 minutes. The Mark Bostick Golf Course is on this corner, and this area of campus is home to Maguire Field, the Levin College of Law and the recreational space around Lake Alice. If you have a bike, you can reach this area of campus in about five minutes, and the rest of campus is within a 10 or 15-minute bike ride away. You can generally walk to all areas of campus in under an hour from the apartment complex.
If you prefer to use public transportation, board a route 43 bus from the stop in front of Florida Citizens Bank on West Newberry Road. This stop is just minutes from the apartment complex and offers a direct route to the northeastern corner of campus. You can get off at the Tigert Hall stop, which places you near the Hough Graduate School of Business, Peabody Hall and Criser Hall. This trip should take less than 30 minutes each way.
There are bus stops dotting Newberry Road, so you can easily reach most areas of the city if you make the right connections. You can travel to one of the transfer stations to head in all directions from campus, eliminating the need for private transportation in this area of Gainesville.

This is a great apartment complex to call home if you enjoy spending time outdoors. Plaza Royale is positioned less than two miles from Cofrin Nature Park, Loblolly Woods Nature Park, Clear Lake Nature Park and the Mark Bostick Golf Course. The Oaks Mall is about two miles down the road, and there are many restaurants and retail stores surrounding the mall. Residents also have access to a variety of bars and coffee shops found within a mile of the apartment complex.
