Transportation
Nantucket Walk is just five blocks from University of Florida’s campus, making it an ideal residence for students and UF employees. The luxury apartment complex is closest to the north end of campus and sites such as Heavener Hall, Warrington College of Business and Library West. Walking the .2 miles to campus is easy via 14th or 15th streets and takes just five or six minutes.
The farthest point on campus is about two miles away, but walking is still a viable option thanks to campus circulator buses. Bus riders can catch most of these buses just a few blocks from the apartments near The Hub. Route 118 transports riders to the central area of campus along Museum Road. Route 121 travels along Museum Road and down Center Street, stopping near the Psychology building and Larsen Hall as well as Shepard Broad. Route 122 is the north/south university circulator, picking up at The Hub and traveling along a variety of campus points, including the Veterinary building.
Public transit is also a good way to get around greater Gainesville. Route 5 buses pick up riders at 14th Street and University Avenue, just five blocks from the apartments, and travel west to The Oaks Mall. Eastbound Route 5 buses transport passengers to the Rosa Parks Downtown Station. For travel to Gainesville Airport, Route 25A is your choice, picking up passengers eight blocks from the apartments.
Cycling to campus and around town is another popular choice for apartment residents. Getting to the distant parts of campus takes only 10 minutes by bicycle, and there are a number of bike trails and dedicated bicycle lanes around campus.
