About Pinewood Terrace

Students at the University of Florida who want a place to call home without missing out on campus life will find Pinewood Terrace to be a great option. Featuring one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans, there is a luxurious apartment that will fit nearly any need. This single-story community offers residents a swimming pool, fitness center, and washer/dryer connections.

Conveniently located on the north side of Gainesville, students can take the bus, drive to campus in just 15 to 20 minutes, or ride a bike and reach the destination in around a half an hour! There is a bus stop on the #40 route that is just steps from the complex, and it goes directly to The Hub on campus. For drivers or cyclists, the most direct route to campus is to take a left onto NW 39th Avenue to go east, then turn left to go south on NW 34th Street, which runs along the west side of campus.

If your classes are in the northern part of campus, from NW 34th Street, turn left to go east on University Avenue. If your destination is near the College of Engineering or College of Journalism, turning right onto Gale Lemerand Drive to Stadium Road will get you right where you need to be. For classes near Library West, the College of Business, or Tigert Hall, you can continue farther east on Stadium Road, or turn onto Newell Drive from University Avenue.

The College of Nursing, College of Dentistry, or College of Pharmacy are in the southern part of campus. To get there easily from University Avenue, turn right onto either Newell Drive or Gale Lemerand Drive to go south through campus. You may find it easier to continue south on NW 34th Street, and instead of turning left to go east on University Avenue, turn left onto Archer Road, which borders the campus to the south. Follow it and turn left to go north on Newell or Center Drives, depending on your destination.

When you aren’t in class or hanging out at one of the awesome restaurants, coffee shops, or pubs in or around the University of Florida campus, there are plenty of places near Pinewood Terrace to shop, eat, and go for fun. The Oaks Mall is only a short drive from Pinewood Terrace when you go south on NW 43rd Street and make a left onto NW 8th Avenue. The mall and surrounding area feature popular shops, stores, and restaurants. Butler Plaza is at SW 34th Street and Archer Road and has Trader Joe’s, Target, Best Buy, Old Navy, plus popular fast food and casual dining options, and a movie theater.
