About Park Avenue

Transportation
Located in northwestern Gainesville, Park Avenue apartments are just blocks from Santa Fe College and within easy commuting distance of University of Florida. They’re also close to Interstate 75, so getting around town and the region is relatively simple.

If you’re commuting to University of Florida, you enjoy a variety of transportation options. The apartments are closest to the university’s golf course, College of Law and other northwestern campus sites. You can easily drive the 6.5 miles to campus in less than 20 minutes, but parking on campus can be expensive and limited. If you want to get a workout during your commute, you can bicycle instead. The trip to the northwestern corner of campus via bicycle takes about 35 minutes, but it involves several elevation changes. Often, the cheapest and most efficient way to commute to campus is by way of the local bus system.

From your apartment in northwestern Gainesville, Route 43 is the most convenient route for reaching the university. You can hop on a Route 43 bus at Springhill Professional Center, a four-minute walk from the apartments. The bus makes numerous useful stops through town and along the campus’ northern and eastern perimeters. Some helpful campus-area stops include Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Keene-Flint Hall, Tigert Hall, Beaty Towers, McKnight Brain Institute and Shands Hospital.

For travel around town, I-75 is just a few blocks from the apartment. Again, public transit offers excellent alternatives to driving yourself. Route 10, for instance, picks up passengers at nearby Santa Fe College and transports riders to the Rosa Parks Downtown Station. This route is ideal if you want to shop, dine or play in popular downtown hot spots or if you want to transfer to other bus routes for extended regional travel. If you need to head to the airport, Route 39 buses collect riders at Santa Fe College and transport them to the Gainesville Airport.
