University of Florida Southwest Recreation Center
There are a few recreation centers and gyms located around UF campus, but Southwest Rec is definitely the best. All of the UF Rec Centers are free for UF students to use -- just make sure you register so you can scan your hand when you come in. The facility is very spacious, with two floors featuring all kinds of cutting-edge equipment. There’s a bunch of basketball courts and racquetball courts located inside the gym as well.
Across the street, there is also beach volleyball courts you can play at. In addition to standard equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, steppers, and more, the second floor as an indoor running track, and there is a large weight room in the back of the gym. The place can get pretty crowded, so you may have to share some different machines and equipment, but if you come at odd hours of the day, you can definitely have your workout in a pretty relaxed environment.
