About Looking Glass Apartments

Two blocks north of University of Florida, Looking Glass apartments are ideally located for UF students and employees. Walking to campus is a breeze. You can easily walk to Library West in 2 minutes, Hough Graduate School of Business in 8 minutes and Reitz Union in less than 10 minutes.

Bicycling to and from campus is also convenient, especially if you’re heading to the southern end of campus. Although you can easily walk to south campus facilities like Shands Medical Plaza in less than half an hour, biking is quicker at 7 minutes. The best cycling routes to south UF campus sites aren’t completely flat, but the route along Gale Lemerand Drive only has a rise or fall of 82 feet.

With its location so close to campus, Looking Glass is along the path of more than a dozen bus routes. For rainy days or days when you need to carry a heavier load to campus, riding the bus is a quick and economical alternative to driving. Campus routes convenient to the apartments include 118, 119, 121, 122, 126 and 127.

Buses are also convenient for transit around town. Route 25A picks up riders at Reitz Union, a 10-minute walk from the apartments, and travels to the airport. Route 34 picks you up at The Hub and travels to Westgate Plaza and Museum Row. Route 43 buses stop just a couple of blocks from the apartments across from Matherly Hall and head west to Santa Fe College and southeast to Shands Medical Plaza. For a ride to The Oaks Mall, hop on a Route 5 bus. Route 5 picks up passengers along University Avenue, just steps from the apartments. It then heads west to Westgate Plaza and The Oaks Mall. Its eastbound route takes passengers to the Rosa Parks downtown station for connections to other routes.

For late-night travel Wednesday through Saturday evenings, Later Gator Route C takes travelers from University Avenue to The Oaks Mall. Later Gator Route A loops around Reitz Union and Museum Road and continues on to the Rosa Parks downtown station.
