About Addison Lane Apartments

Transportation

You’ll find the Addison Lane villa apartments about one mile from the southwestern corner of the UF campus. This region of campus is home to the Natural Area Teaching Laboratory, the Lake Alice Conservation Area, the Florida Museum of Natural History and Mark Bostick Golf Course. If you walk east on SW 20th Avenue from the apartment complex, turn left on SW 34th Street and then right on Hull Road, you’ll reach the Museum of Natural History as well as the Harm Museum of Art and the Southwest Recreation Center in less than 30 minutes.

If you ride a bike, it will take you less than 10 minutes to reach this part of campus. It will take additional time to walk or bike to facilities located further north or east, but most of the campus is within walking distance of Addison Lane. This means that you’re within walking distance of many recreational facilities and outdoor green spaces as well as all campus dining options.

If you have a car, you can drive to parking lots and garages on the western edge of campus in five minutes or less. You also have the option of taking the public bus to campus or to destinations in other areas of Gainesville. The closest bus stop is right in front of the apartment complex, but the bus connected to that stop won’t take you to the UF campus. It will take you to other areas of Gainesville if you need to commute to work or you want to visit some of the parks and restaurants in other areas of the city.

To reach campus, you can walk one block east on SW 20th Avenue to reach the bus stop in front of the Kensington Apartments. The route 126 bus will take you north on SW 38th Terrace and east on Hull Road, entering campus from the west. The route cuts through the center of campus, and there are multiple stops that you can get off in order to reach your desired facilities.
